I constantly feel like the worst mom ever!!! And then Story leaves me notes like "thanks for being my mom" "you're the best mom in the world" we often see only our failures, but when our kids are asked candidly, most often their thoughhts of us are so pleasant they never see the short commings we see in ourselves. chin up. god's blessings.skykelcalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08149055267097214229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7868815618286496043.post-69083105888505385822014-11-18T12:43:41.087-06:002014-11-18T12:43:41.087-06:00I also have tears Andrea. I think all of us Moms h...I also have tears Andrea. I think all of us Moms have "been there" or will be, and I remember the utter failure I felt. After all, I HAVE lost a child...how on earth could I ever yell at the precious ones I do have? But one thing I need to correct for you. Being imperfect yet willing to ask forgiveness IS best-mother-ever material! You are giving your kids a gift by teaching them that "Yes, we mess up, but we also ask forgiveness and grant forgiveness". HUGE life lessons that your kids get to see modeled for them (after the crazy mom stuff!). Hang in there. You are doing things right! The hormone years take some adjusting too...and they don't get "better" so much as you learn how to speak the language a little better. With Jade I use "why don't you go think about this, and so will I, and let's talk later". The key is, to talk again later! Sometimes that break only needs to be 5 minutes, sometimes it needs to be an afternoon! I don't know if that will help you. I wish I had
"the answer" to make it easier for you Andrea! I can just say I love you, I screw up too and if you keep trying, you'll find something that works! OH, and you can tell Lillian that I know that some girls don't get their periods until they are 15 or 16 or even 17! Maybe she can be one of those!!Amynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7868815618286496043.post-21176739725999300712014-11-18T11:16:09.944-06:002014-11-18T11:16:09.944-06:00Oh friend, HUGS! Praying for you!

Someday soon... you should have a post for swapping teen/tween advice and helpful ideas! My 9 year old son is making me crazy. Seriously. Crazy. He chooses the wildest things and times to try to be 'responsible' and then I get crazy because he doesn't first ask me. Then when I expect him to be responsible, he does kindergarten behaviors. UGH. Crazy cycle. Must.get.off. But having made it to 13 with Veronica... I have to say, I really enjoy my relationship with her right now. Bless her sweet soul, she was the 4th grader with her period. And now that she has some years experience under her... the confidence she grew into, has been beautiful. Praying and hoping for your story to be one of grace, redemption, and rest! :)

Hang in there!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03160637658065511277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7868815618286496043.post-86134398780237355492014-11-18T11:09:45.162-06:002014-11-18T11:09:45.162-06:00I'm in tears because this is just exactly what...I'm in tears because this is just exactly what is going on right now in my home too. I am praying for both of us and our sweet families. I love you, Andrea!!!Alyssahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08980420274626946405noreply@blogger.com
